In partnership with Visa and MasterCard, the leading French banks and mobile telephone operators have formed an association to offer a new service: contactless mobile telephone payment.

With this new service, you can use your mobile telephone to pay for purchases at participating retailers.

Launched in November 2007, the Payez Mobile trial currently involves about 1000 testers and 500 retailers in two towns : Caen and Strasbourg.

After one year of trial, surveys have shown that most customers consider this a highly practical and attractive solution. More than 90% of all customers expressed satisfaction with this solution and 59% stated that they would use this service once available. The benefits of this payment method are clear. It is easy, practical and safe.

This payment instrument is suitable for all amounts and is used by testers of all ages.

Retailers are also satisfied with this service (82%) and appreciate the speed of contactless mobile telephone payment.
